The Nextion NX8048P050 5-Inch Intelligent Series Resistive HMI Touch Display w/ Enclosure is a sophisticated human-machine interface (HMI) touchscreen from the Intelligent series. This resistive HMI touchscreen is encased in a durable enclosure, ensuring its longevity and robustness.

It offers a Human Machine Interface (HMI) solution combining an onboard processor and memory touch display with Nextion Editor software for HMI GUI project development. Using the NEXTION Editor software, you can quickly develop the HMI GUI by drag-and-drop components (graphics, text, button, slider, etc.) and ASCII text-based instructions for coding how components interact at the display side.

The Nextion HMI display connects to the peripheral MCU via TTL Serial (5V, TX, RX ,GND) to provide event notifications that the peripheral MCU can act on, the peripheral MCU can easily update progress and status back to the Nextion display utilizing simple ASCII text-based instructions.

The Intelligent Series products have more powerful MCU, Flash storage, and SRAM hardware than the Basic and Enhanced Series. The audio, video, and animation play functions enrich the user’s project HMI interaction. The Intelligent Series supports advanced software features and functions such as transparent components, page loading effect, component Move and Drag .etc.

The product comes with the Nextion Editor, a complimentary GUI development software compatible with the Basic Series, Discovery Series, Enhanced Series, and Intelligent Series.
